Choosing edibles for arthritis pain

I use cannabis to alleviate arthritis pain.

I suffer from swelling, stiffness and aching in the joints of my fingers.

It hurts to type on my laptop, scrub dirty dishes and even when I wash my hands. I am not comfortable taking conventional pharmaceuticals because of the harmful side-effects. Cannabis is a natural remedy. I am fortunate that my state legalized recreational cannabis. Because I am over 21 years old and have a valid government-issued ID, I can make a purchase at the dispensary. With easy access, I’ve tried most of the various delivery methods. I’ve found that I prefer cannabis-infused edibles. I like the simplicity of consumption. I don’t need any special gear, and there is no mess, smoke or odors. Cannabis-infused foods and drinks are very discreet. If I’m heading to bed at night, I might take an indica strain to help me relax and get a better night’s sleep. If I plan to be active, I am likely to choose a sativa strain. Most often, I enjoy the combination of effects provided by a hybrid. I also look for a combination of THC and CBD because of the benefits of both cannabinoids. I have learned to be very careful about how much of an edible I consume. This type of delivery method requires cannabinoids to be digested before entering the bloodstream. it takes anywhere from a half an hour to 90 minutes for the effects to be fully felt. The effects can then last for several hours. Whether I purchase gummies, brownies, cookies, chocolates or a beverage, I start with a very low dose.
