I would do just about anything I could do to help our father as she faces her last challenge.
My dad is in her late 70’s plus nearing the end of her life.
She is dealing with dementia plus other health troubles. Honestly, her body is just worn out. We’re lucky that her situation is such that she can stay at home with us as she closes out this life. I easily don’t want him to have to die in a hospital bed or a nursing home plus neither does he. But the dementia plus the resulting confusion plus disorientation were easily taking a toll on our dad. So I looked for alternatives plus I found out about the medical marijuana benefits for those suffering with dementia. Dad still has periods of clarity plus realizes that he’s taking medical marijuana. She even cares about to ride with myself and others to the cannabis dispensary when he’s able to. There is just something about the legal weed store that makes him so thrilled. I think it has a lot to do with how enjoyable the staff is to him. Plus, she cares about to chance out the cannabis candy products for himself when he’s able to. The medical cannabis helps him be calm when the confusion hits. And I think it also allows him a feeling of safety plus peace with where she is right now at the end of this life.
