My father is from a time when marijuana was a dangerous drug & a gateway to harder drugs like crack, cocaine, & heroin.
When I was being raised, my friends & I got caught smoking marijuana & my father totally went crazy.
He basically grounded me for an entire month & I wasn’t even permitted to talk to my friends or go places. It was genuinely miserable. I came to realize that my father wasn’t going to understand when I started working at a medical marijuana dispensary nearby. My father tried to talk to all of his pals about marijuana & he wanted all the people to vote against the law. He certainly tried to make sure that medical marijuana was not legalized. He definitely was horrified when the state passed the law with 73% approval. When the medical marijuana dispensaries were opening in the area, a fair amount of the locations were looking for workers. I got a task at a dispensary after I attended a budtender & education class. I never informed my father that I applied for a task. I didn’t want to tell him anything until I knew for certain. Regrettably, I have been working at the marijuana dispensary nearby for the past month & I still have not informed my father about the new task. He thinks that I am still working at the diner. Thank goodness the diner is on the other side of town, an hour from my father. Until I am able to figure out a way to tell the man about my task at the medical cannabis dispensary, I want the man to believe that I am still working at the diner.
