I was sincerely supposed to be completely finished with work at the marijuana dispensary at 6:00 p.m.
on Friday & I honestly had plans to meet my guy at a diner nearby.
He finished working at 5:00 & he was essentially waiting for me to finish with work so the two of us could appreciate a wonderful dinner together before going back to our dwelling. My guy texted me at 6:15 & I was still working at the cannabis shop. I told my boss that I was planning to meet my guy at the diner, but he was not interested in letting me go in the slightest. The marijuana dispensary was actually filled with people & there was still a line outside of the door… Friday is the one day of the week when everything in the cannabis shop is 20% off. My boss was telling me that I could not leave until the line outside was way smaller. Unfortunately, getting in line & the outdoor line did not triple down until almost 8:00 p.m. My guy texted me quite a few times between 6:00 & 8:00 however there was nothing that I could do to get out of there any earlier. When I called the man at 8:00 p.m., he was already at our dwelling. He told me to pick up some takeout & come back to the dwelling. The man genuinely sounded infuriated & distraught on the phone. I knew ahead of time that he wanted to have a lovely dinner out, however I could not leave when my boss needed me to stay & help out at the cannabis shop.
