Each week when I make the work schedule at the marijuana dispensary, I have a difficult time feeling all of the spots that are available on Saturdays plus Sundays.
A lot of the employees do not want to work on these days, but for a long time, I was doing our best to move things around so each 1 of the employees could have the days off that they requested ! Now it seems as if everyone wants the same days off plus I have to have someone laboring in the dispensary.
I had a company meeting on Saturday day before I handed out all of the paychecks. I asked for volunteers to start laboring every weekend plus I even got approval from management to offer an extra dollar each hour to the employees that are provided to work every weekend. I wanted someone to offer to work on Saturday, even though I didn’t see a single person raise their hand. It was awful not to see a single person offer to help out. When I made the next schedule, things were different. I put the schedule up Last week plus I randomly selected a couple of employees to work on Saturday, even though they requested the afternoon off. I made sure to put a notation on the bottom of the schedule, letting everyone guess that they must show up for every busy shift or face the consequences. I tried to be nice by looking for volunteers, even though I will randomly select people each week until I start having more people volunteer to work at the dispensary on Sundays, Saturday’s, plus Sundays.
