No cannabis allowed at the hookah bar

My friend Ed took me to a new hookah bar last night.

I was looking forward to it all week long.

Hookah bars are popular in bigger cities, but I never had access to one until now. I suppose I had a glamorized vision of what it would be, but I have to say the reality was a big disappointment. Ed had a better idea of what to expect, so he had a good time, but I was left a little nonplussed by the experience. Last year this state legalized medical cannabis, so I mistakenly assumed that it would be an option at the hookah bar. Much to my dismay, there was no cannabis allowed in the hookah bar, it was only for smoking different kinds of tobacco. I wanted to smoke marijuana from a hookah, not nasty old tobacco! To calm my nerves I went onto Etsy and started looking for a hookah I could buy to smoke cannabis at home. A hookah features a large bowl connected to a water chamber, and a hose through which you inhale cannabis or tobacco smoke. By passing the tube around the entire circle of people can get high from the same bowl of cannabis. It sounds like a great communal way to share the cannabis experience, and it simply wouldn’t be as good to smoke tobacco instead. I am patiently waiting for my handmade hookah to arrive in the mail, at which point I will evite Ed over to smoke cannabis with me. I don’t plan to return to the hookah bar until they start selling weed.
