Celebrating Easter with medical cannabis

I am not a devoutly religious person, so I have never cared about celebrating Easter one way or the other! Personally I think that it’s OK for Christians to celebrate Easter, or any holiday they wish, but if I don’t follow a religion then I won’t celebrate that holiday myself; I never did Easter egg hunts for my kids, because it was absurd, christmas is fun, but to me that’s more about being with my family and loving that togetherness, not any one religion, but anyway, the point of this story is that my new friends Mike and Richy have made me a fan of Easter by bribing me with booze, medical cannabis, and state lottery tickets! Every year this older couple hosts an Adult Easter Egg Hunt, and inside each egg might be a $20, a lottery ticket, a small bottle of liquor, or a gram of medical cannabis.

Once the egg hunt is completed, all the people opens their eggs and then is free to trade for other prizes, and this year I found six eggs, but none of them had any medical marijuana in them, which was the only prize I wanted.

I took my lottery tickets and booze and used them to trade with other people for the medical cannabis they had found; By the end of the night it was a moot point because collectively we all drank the liquor and smoked up all the medical marijuana. In the past I have hidden Easter eggs for kids, although I have to say that injecting liquor and medical cannabis into the proceedings made it a whole lot more fun, next year I might possibly host an Adult Easter Egg Hunt of my own!

Treating symptoms of arthritis with cannabis

Ever since entering my fifties, I’ve suffered from mild arthritis in my fingers.

I notice a slight stiffness and swelling in my joints when the weather is especially hot and humid or brutally cold.

My symptoms are not severe enough to require a doctor’s visit. I am unwilling to waste the time and money of a doctor’s appointment when there’s no way I would ever take the prescribed medication. I’ve read up on arthritis medicine. The long-term side-effects are downright scary. Fortunately, I’m able to treat arthritis flare-ups with cannabis. As a plant-based remedy, cannabis-infused medication has no lasting drawbacks. I’ve noticed dry mouth and an increase in appetite when taking specific strains of cannabis. I shop at the dispensary for products with a balanced ratio of CBD to THC. I look for options that also contain CBN or CBG. All of these cannabinoids have shown promise in alleviating pain, inflammation and stiffness. The dispensary offers a wonderful assortment of smokable flower, pre-rolls, vapes, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, edibles, beverages and extracts. I always make sure to purchase some type of topical. Applying a cannabis-infused ointment directly to my fingers provides a quick onset of relief. The pain lessens and I enjoy a better range of emotion. Because topicals don’t cause any psychoactive sensations, I can apply them multiple times per day. I’ve also had good luck with both tinctures and edibles. The tinctures are especially easy to consume and allow precision dosing. I simply place a few drops under my tongue, wait a minute for the cannabinoids to be absorbed and then swallow any remaining liquid. With edibles, the effects can take several hours to be realized but they are intense and long-lasting.

Traveling for work and dealing with MMJ card reciprocity

My job requires me to travel all over the country.

I spend more time sleeping in hotel rooms than in my bed at home.

While I really enjoy experiencing new places, the workload is rather stressful. My job description includes lots of conferences, meetings, consultations and training seminars. I frequently speak in front of large groups. The data I present and recommendations I make are essential to the growth and success of the company. The anxiety of both traveling and the expectations manifest into all sorts of health issues. I suffer from frequent migraines so severe that I am sensitive to light and sounds. It’s not usual for me to throw up due to the pain in my head. Because of so much time spent sitting on airplanes, sitting at airports and sitting at work-related events, I have developed problems with painful joints. I deal with carpal tunnel syndrome, neck and back pain, arthritis in my fingers and plantar fasciitis. While I have my MMJ card that allows me to shop at the dispensary in my local area, not every state provides medical marijuana reciprocity. I am far more eager to travel to those states that recognize my MMJ card. While the states with legalized recreational weed charge me tax and won’t sell me as much quantity, it’s still a relief to be able to shop at the dispensaries. I enjoy visiting dispensaries across the country. It gives me an opportunity to try out new brands and strains. On my travels, I’ve come across cannabis-infused peanut butter, ice cream, honey and popcorn.

Strains of cannabis for treating migraines

As someone who suffers from frequent headaches, cannabis has changed my life.

There was a time when I would feel the onset of migraine symptoms and have few options. Prescription and over-the-counter medicines create all sorts of new and long-term health problems. Home remedies don’t really work. Cannabis has provided a safe, natural and effective alternative. My local dispensary sells four strains of smokable flower that are especially beneficial. One of the big issues with migraines is that my head hurts so bad that I can’t sleep. However, sleep is often the best remedy. Purple Kush is a pure indica strain that offers seventeen to twenty-two percent THC and less than one percent CBD. It creates a lovely full-body relaxation and deep sleep. My migraine doesn’t keep me awake, and I get up in the morning feeling refreshed. Another favorite from the dispensary is OG Kush. With high THC content, it works to lessen pain and nausea. I also like to shop at the dispensary for White Widow. The hybrid cross of indica and sativa is from Amsterdam and is associated with relaxation and easing muscle tension. If I can treat my migraine symptoms at the early onset, I use Chocolope. It’s an uplifting sativa strain that’s best for daytime use. I light up a joint or a bowl as a preemptive strategy, before the full onslaught of pain. It not only diminishes the concerns of a migraine but promotes clear-thinking and creativity. I am fortunate that I have easy access to cannabis. Although I haven’t gone through the time, paperwork and cost of qualifying for my MMJ card, I can shop at the dispensary for curative strains.

Getting familiar with terpenes

When I was just beginning my cannabis experience, I knew very little about how to choose the right products for my preferences and purposes.

At the dispensary, most of the options are divided into three categories.

Indica strains are generally associated with relaxing, whole-body sensations. Sativas are expected to provide more of an energizing and cerebral high. Hybrid effects depend on the properties of the parent plants. As I’ve gotten more familiar with cannabis and how it works, I’ve focused more on cannabinoids. There are over a hundred cannabinoids found in the plant. THC and CBD are the two most abundant and well-known. THC creates psychoactive effects while CBD is most often utilized for its therapeutic benefits. Just recently, I realized that the chemical profile of each unique strain includes terpenes. They are produced by a variety of plants, including fruit trees and herbs. They are responsible for the flavor and smell of the plant. Like cannabinoids, terpenes are found in the trichomes that cover the buds. Over one hundred separate terpenes have been identified and multiple types can be provided by a single strain of cannabis. Soil and climate influence the creation of terpenes. The unique, varying and diverse combination of these terpenes produces specific aroma and flavor and also influences the potential benefits. The terpenes found in other plants have been used throughout history in essential oils for aromatherapy. Linalool is found in lavender and is sought after for calming and improving sleep. Dried cannabis flower strains offer an exciting variety of terpene combinations. They can even change for the same strain from one harvest to the next.

Dine, dance and nibble that cannabis edible

My wife actually asked me to repeat the suggestion I had so subtly made on my way out of the kitchen.

She knows me well enough to know that I was doing that for affect.

But I repeated the idea of maybe going dining and dancing some weekend soon. With the help of some cannabis products from the local cannabis spot and lessons, I was ready to go dancing. My wife actually followed me into the bedroom asking me if I was serious. That girl is a dancer so there is no joking about dancing and especially not from me. I told her that I was for sure serious and to set the date. I’ve been trying to find more ways to share moments with my wife as we get busier and busier with our responsibilities. And since she loves to go dancing, I figured that with some sativa and a few dance lessons, I could go have some fun with my wife. Now, this was a big deal for me because I’ve always felt so completely stupid when I danced. So I then avoided it like the plague and I know that’s a bummer for my wife. A buddy of mine and I decided we’d go get dance lessons together so we’d ensure that we went. But we also decided to stop by the local cannabis spot on the way. Then, it was split a cannabis edible and submit to maybe embarrassing the hell out of ourselves. However, I actually got into it and learned something. Apparently, I did okay by the fact that my wife could not stop smacking her forehead while we dined and danced just weeks later.’

Great camping trip includes cannabis

I owe a lot to my parents. They were right when they told me that getting out in nature would be something that I’d enjoy all of my life. But I can also remember times when I would have much preferred to be at home watching cable than out on a camping trip. Refusing a camping trip wasn’t an option with my folks. These days, I’m still so into getting out and camping so I owe them for that. But unlike the camping trips back then, these days, those trips come with a stop at the local cannabis spot. Who knows, maybe my parent also brought along some recreational marijuana on those camping trips back in the day. For sure, their hippie youth kind or hung around in other ways. So maybe they had a little stash of sativa or indica in their backpacks back then. All I know is that cannabis is completely legal here so it’s an essential in my backpack. Unlike my parents, my wife and I chose not to have kids. So we don’t have to worry about being discreet when it come to our recreational marijuana use. And I definitely don’t do that on our at least once a month hiking and camping trips. Even if it’s just an overnight, we get to the wood and along comes the sativa and indica strains. I love getting into some sativa during the day for our hikes and taking in all the wondrous views. Around the fire at night though, the indica products I get at the local cannabis spot are pretty much perfect. There’s just not much better than enjoying cannabis products with my wife around the fire while our dogs sleep at our feet.

I found three ways to help my diet

I found three great ways to help my diet and one of those things is exercise. A lot of exercise is a good way to make sure that your body stays in shape. You don’t have to run or jog, because walking is good cardio fitness and easy on all of the muscles and joints. Another way that I found to help my diet is to cut down on the amount of sugars and sweets that I eat. I used to eat a bunch of donuts and pastries every night, but now I have substituted those things for fruits like blueberries, watermelon, and strawberries. Having fresh fruit in the house can be tricky sometimes, because it goes bad really quickly. I try to buy food when it’s on sale and I can’t get a good deal, but sometimes I buy too much. The final thing that I do to help my diet is smoke recreational marijuana. In the morning, I smoke a recreational marijuana strain that is a sativa. Sometimes I will use blue dream or Jack Herer and sometimes I like Super Lemon haze. There are a lot of great recreational marijuana strains available at the dispensary near me. When I follow all three of these things, I help myself make good choices. I want to be able to fit into the pants that I wore last year during the summer and that means that I have to figure out a way to get rid of the winter weight before it is June and july. That’s when my girlfriend and her family are supposed to come visit for the weekend.

The manager gave me a great discount

When I tried the clearance concentrate that was only $7, it outweighed the expensive stuff by a lot

I was really bummed out about the last gram of concentrate that I bought from the marijuana dispensary near me. I’ve been visiting the marijuana dispensary near me for a while and everyone there knows me by name. Last time I was in the shop, the manager told me that there was a brand new product that I had to get. I absolutely love distillates, concentrates, live resin, and rosin. The manager showed me the live resin product that was absolutely beautiful. The color was a light brown color and it even had 4% cbd. The live resin strain was $45, but the manager told me that it was going to be worth it. I bought the live resin strain along with a couple of other items from the dispensary. One item was a clearance concentrate that was from a top shelf grower. The clearance concentrate was only $7 because it was about to expire. I went home and tried the live resin strain that was $45 first. It was okay, but I really didn’t like the terpene profile. When I tried the clearance concentrate that was only $7, it outweighed the expensive stuff by a lot. I went back to the marijuana dispensary and I told the manager on duty how upset I was about the expensive product and she decided to give me a 20% discount on any product in the store or my whole order. I was really happy that the manager did what she could to make things right. I was really disappointed by the quality of the expensive concentrate.

The cameras are a section of the loss prevention protocol

New software at the marijuana dispensary measures the amount of lost that my good friend and I have each plus every week, however from time to time, that number is quite large… A month ago, the order of the marijuana dispensary commanded updating the software to keep track of each item more accurately… I thought that the software was a good idea because I knew it would help my job as a supervisor of the store.

I did not realize that the owner was also going to install cameras as part of the loss prevention protocol, but there are cameras all over the store now and cameras in the hall by the lavatory plus cameras in the back where my good friend and I have the storage area.

There are also up-to-date employee ID numbers that have to be answered into the computer each time a person is going to make a sale. The employee ID numbers are going to be used to track sales plus liability for each individual employee. All of the employees are aggravated plus aggravated by the employee numbers. It’s eight digits with numbers plus letters plus each individual was randomly assigned a number. No one can remember their numbers plus people are taking a unquestionably giant issue with the fact that there are cameras right outside of the lavatory. I have tried to talk to the employees about everything that is going on, but they don’t want to hear how the cameras plus employee badge numbers are going to help the dispensary make more currency. They see it as a nuisance plus something to complain about.
